My passion for writing has allowed me to travel the world, get accepted into Pepperdine University, and win the Fulbright Grant. I am now offering my services as a high school & college essay coach.
My imagination and ability to convey an idea through writing has always distinguished me from others. In high school, I performed spoken word in my school’s talent show, won the gold medal in the speech segment of Academic Decathlon, and earned a standing ovation with my graduation commencement speech. These experiences gave me confidence and encouraged me to dream bigger.
As a senior in high school I often worried about getting accepted into college. I labored over my personal statement and accompanying essays day in and day out. How was I to tell my life’s story succinctly and compellingly? Was it possible to tell my story in just one page? I found a way and my efforts paid off. I was accepted into Pepperdine University with most of my tuition paid for.
My writing skills developed tremendously in college. My professors taught me the importance of writing clearly and succinctly. My senior year of college, I applied to various graduate school programs and fellowships, relying on my writing skills again. My efforts paid off and I was awarded the Fulbright Grant, which allowed me to serve as a cultural ambassador and teach English in Brazil for a year. Since then, I have lived in 3 different countries and learned two new languages. Learning to write well opened many doors for me.
My sincerity shines through in my writing, allowing me to connect authentically with my audience. I am skilled at coaching writers on style, succinctness, and crafting honest personal narratives. I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals especially if there’s writing involved. If interested, send me an email or text. I would love to hear from you.
